The primary focus of these modules was to provide training grounded in real-world scenarios, tailored to the unique responsibilities and challenges faced by NLC staff. We utilised core resources provided by the client and took a culturally aware approach, incorporating hand-drawn Indigenous characters and real Indigenous voices to ensure authenticity and relatability.

We adopted a constructive learning approach, building case studies based on actual scenarios experienced by the NLC and its staff. These scenarios addressed essential issues such as the dual role of being a traditional owner and an NLC employee, and possible conflicts of interest like receiving gifts and benefits or hiring and commissioning family members.

The final learning packages successfully combined culturally appropriate elements with practical training. By grounding the content in real scenarios, the modules resonated with Rangers and staff, offering them not just knowledge but practical tools to manage their responsibilities effectively. The constructive learning approach also empowered them to critically analyse their roles and responsibilities within the NLC.
